Fuel is the one that actually adjusts. The V-strap carries a metal pin buckle on the instep — a real prong through a real hole, not a decorative plate — so you set the strap to your own foot and it stays where you put it.
That matters more than it sounds. Most thong sandals are one fixed width: too loose and the foot slides, too tight and the strap digs in across the top. With a buckle you get it right once and stop thinking about it. It also means the pair still fits on the days your feet swell, which in an Indian summer is most of them.
The upper is a coarse woven fabric with a visible basketweave grain — breathable, soft against the foot, and with none of the break-in a moulded strap needs.
Underneath is the chunkiest sole in the women's range: a deep sculpted midsole with a rolling profile, rising at the heel and tapering toward the toe, with a wave-textured footbed moulded across the top. It gives real height and real cushioning without the slab-like look of a flat platform.
This is the tan colourway — the warmer of the two, and the one that reads as a summer sandal rather than a year-round one.
