Diamond earns its name twice. The V-shaped thong strap is laser-cut in an openwork pattern and set with small crystals that catch the light as the foot moves — and underfoot, the footbed is moulded in a quilted diamond grid, punched through with fine perforations.
Those cut-outs are not only decoration. The openwork strap and the perforated footbed both let air through, which is the difference between a dressy sandal you wear for an hour and one you can keep on all afternoon.
The V-strap meets at a toe post and widens across the instep, so the foot is held at the front as well as across. Underneath sits a chunky platform with a fine ribbed sidewall, giving height without the shoe looking heavy, and the footbed is contoured with a raised arch and a cupped heel.
This is the tan colourway — the warmest of the three, and the one that works best with browns and creams.
