Crossfit puts two broad straps across the foot instead of one, crossing them over the instep so the hold comes from two directions rather than a single band. The foot sits further into the shoe and stays put — the difference shows up on stairs and on a long walk, where a single-strap slide starts working loose.
Underneath is the chunkiest sole in the range. The midsole is sculpted rather than slabbed, with a curved sidewall that narrows through the waist and flares again at the heel, so the bulk reads as shape instead of thickness. The footbed is moulded in fine wave ridges running the full length, contoured through the arch with a cup at the heel.
This colourway pairs beige with brown — the warmer of the two, and the one that reads as summer footwear rather than something kept by the door.
Details
-
Crossed strap design — two broad straps overlap across the instep, holding the foot from two directions instead of one.
-
Sculpted chunky midsole — a curved sidewall that narrows at the waist and flares at the heel, so the depth reads as shape rather than bulk.
-
Wave-textured footbed — fine moulded ridges across the full length, so the foot settles in rather than sliding about on it.
-
Contoured through the arch — shaped rather than flat, with a cup at the heel to hold the foot in position.
-
Built for all-day wear — the crossed straps and the deep footbed are what let it stay on past the short trips most slides are kept for.
-
Sizes 6 to 11 — six sizes, one width.
-
Easy to clean — wipe with a damp cloth and air dry. Pale colours show marks sooner, so wipe the sidewall down more often than you would a dark pair.
Wear them around the house, to the shops, on the school run, or anywhere a slide normally gives up halfway.
