WINFOX Root Buckled Sandals for Men — Brown

Root is a sandal rather than a slide. Two broad straps run across the foot, each with a working pin buckle, and the lower one carries a toe loop that holds the front of the foot rather than letting it slide forward. It is the most shoe-like thing in the range — the pair you can wear with linen trousers and not think about it.

Both buckles adjust properly, with punched holes through the strap, so the fit is set to your foot rather than to a mould. The footbed is moulded with a raised arch and a cupped heel, and the small fox mark is embossed into the strap keeper where a buckle plate would normally sit.

This colourway is a deep chocolate brown with antiqued bronze buckles and a cream sole. The darker upper against the pale sole is the most traditional-looking combination of the three, and the one that works best with darker trousers.
