Bounce is a flip-flop, not a slide — and the first thong style in the range. The footbed is moulded in a deep wave contour that runs the length of the foot, rising through the arch and cupping slightly at the heel, so the foot settles into a shape rather than standing on a flat board. Underfoot it has spring to it: press down and it gives, then comes back.

The strap is the part most flip-flops get wrong. This one is cut wide through the instep, stitched along both edges, and lined underneath in soft fabric — including around the toe post, which is where the rubbing usually starts. The running fox emblem sits on the outer edge of each strap.

This colourway is the brightest of the three — a navy strap on an off-white footbed with a navy sole edge, and the fox in pale grey. The lightest option, and the one that looks most like summer.

• Easy to clean — wipe with a damp cloth and air dry. A pale footbed shows marks sooner, and the fabric lining holds water, so let it dry fully before wearing again.
